We had a fabulous stay in this lovely location. The owners were very friendly and attentive and gave us a lovely warm welcome. Every bit of attention to detail was paid to the accommodation, which was cosy, clean and warm.

What a lovely place to stay, Owners Phillipa and Glyn were excellent hosts, made us so welcome and could not do enough to help or assist you. The staff were great too, I can not thank them enough. Even the dog was made welcome, with a welcome pack for him, and he was fussed and spoilt too. The lodge was spotless clean and has everything you need, everything in it is quality, you can tell no expense has been spared setting up these lodges. They offer breakfast on site and have a bar for evenings, I loved every minute of it, and will definitely recommend this place, and can not wait to come back.
The quality of this property was absolutely outstanding. No expense spared. Phillipa and Glynn made us and our noisy dog feel so welcome. Includes tea, coffee and milk in the fridge plus kitchen essentials there was even a dog pack including towels, mat and dog treats! Ideally situated for visiting the local attractions and within walking distance to some beautiful beaches and the local pub! It is situated on an adults only campsite but that did not spoil the peacefulness, even on an incredibly busy bank holiday weekend. There is an onsite cafe and bar serving fantastic breakfast! We will be back!

We chose the property to tie a visit in to the AIG Ladies Open but also the location offered a potential easy walking route to the beach with a nervous dog who struggles to walk on roads and in strange situations, As the decking area wasn't fully dog secure the property owners very quickly ensured it was, a big thank you to them for this. The walk to the beach is lovely although there are some fences and stone stiles to negotiate but the views and the beach make it very worthwhile. A great location, the Mezze Farmers Table recommendation was a treat too.

We felt at home from the the start, and it was lovely to chat with you both you helped with suggestions for walks with the dog and places to visit. Monks Rest is a lovely place to stay it feels very homely, it is very comfortable, very clean and very well provided for in terms of kitchen utensils, and a very good internect connection, etc. The site is superb it is kept very tidy and clean and the 16 years limit makes for a very peaceful and relaxing environment. We both enjoyed our stay with you very much one of the best holiday locations we have stayed at! Of particular note are the wonderful breakfast rolls and excellent coffee! Many thanks for a fantastic week!
Owner hosts Philippa & Glyn are the nicest people. No request from guests is too much trouble. Their Lodges are of the highest standard 5 plus. High quality furnishings throughout. Stylish Kitchen providing every possible pot, pan, utensil, crockery, glassware & silverware required, all high quality. Fridge & separate Freezer. Quality outside furniture, Gas Barbecue & superb Hot Tub for which thick, soft robes are provided with separate towels. Attention to detail both inside & outside the lodge, spotlessly clean, we were very comfortable on a highly maintained peaceful site, perfect to relax and unwind. Very much looking forward to returning.

What a beautiful property and place. The lodge is sumptuously furnished and spacious with gorgeous beds, rainfall shower and hot tub. The owners are wonderful, helpful and knowledgeable about Monknash and the gorgeous coastal paths. When I visit my father and sister in the future, this is where I will be staying.

We had a lovely short stay. So pleased to see Phillipa's friendly face welcoming us on the dark wet wintery night when we arrived, as I was trying to find the key code. She couldn't do any more to make our stay comfortable. The accomadation is so clean and modern, Bed and bedding were very high quality and comfy. Loved the woodburner and hot tub. Wonderful local pub a walk away, dog friendly too. No complaints at all and we will be back for sure.
Monks Rest was beautiful well worth the visit it seemed like the owner had thought of everything. The area is beautiful we walked did 3 of the local walking routeswhich the owner provided leaflets for and they were stunning. We had our dog with us too and he loved every second.

Absolutely wonderful holiday lodge! Furnished to high spec. Bedding and towels top quality and bathroom warm and cosy with fabulous shower. Lovely welcome from owners who even provided treats for our dog. The area was very rural with views to the sea and amazing sunsets. Great dog walking and close to the pub what more could we want? We had a lovely week with our family in this beautiful lodge. The accommodation is beautiful, and spotlessly clean, it feels nice and luxurious. We enjoyed BBQs outside and took in the view of the sunset and sea. Phillipa and Glynn really care about their guests often offering us recommendations for trips out, we had some great days out enjoying the beautiful beaches and local museum. Our children had so much fun. We were blessed with some good weather but it would be equally cosy in the winter with the log burner, onsite cafe and lovely pub 5 minutes away.
What an incredible property! The hosts are exceptionally helpful, providing their contact details in case you need anything. The property is impeccably maintained, with everything you could need, including an outdoor gas BBQ. The photos and description perfectly match what you get.
