The Canal Hot Tub Cottage Reviews

Samira
We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is fantastic, just a short walk to the canal, which made for lovely evening strolls. The house itself was cosy, with a well-equipped kitchen and a comfy lounge. Our bedroom was just rightand the bathroom was spacious and practical. Martin was a great host-friendly and helpful throughout. Honestly, some people complain about dogs not being allowed on sofas, but honestly, do they want their sofas covered in fur and fleas? We'd definitely come back!
Harriet
Overall, the cottage was quite charming, but there were a few issues. The shower kept leaking, which resulted in a wet bathroom floorand we weren't told beforehand that dogs weren't allowed on the sofa or bed, so Alfie had nowhere comfy to rest. The hot tub water hadn't been changed in about two weeks, which was a bit off-putting. Also, the windows weren't very cleanand the dogs behind the cottage were barking loudly at Alfie, making outdoor time tricky. Still, it was a nice stay overall.
Sam
Great stay, spacious living area and comfy beds. The hot tub was a lovely bonus, really made our trip special!
James Carter
Great location, close to Cardiff and Barry Island!

We had a lovely, peaceful and relaxing break. Everything was just right for some time away from the hustle and bustle! The atmosphere was calm, which was exactly what we needed to unwind and recharge. Definitely recommend it for anyone looking to escape for a bit.
Jeanette
The cottage is lovely and spacious and comfortable and the hot tub an absolute winner. We enjoyed our stay very much and can highly recommend Hot Tub cottage. Its ideally situated for canal walks and day trips out or just to stay in.
James
We stayed here at the end of September 2021, right by the canal with lovely long walks in both directions. We visited the Star Inn if you turn left and then Goytre Wharf if you turn right. Everything is really well finished, clean and well equipped. The hot tub was great fun! Would definitely recommend.
